Trump Tackles a True Matthew 25 Project

Have you ever wondered why the parable of the wise investors in Matthew 25:14-30 comes right before the parable of the poor and needy in Matthew 25:31-46? The two don’t seem to go together. Could there be a connection between prosperity and poverty? Between those who are wealthy and prosperous and those who are poor? What do these parables have in common?

Well, Trump helped me figure it out how investment and the poor and suffering have are relationship to one another. I found it in Trump’s "Opportunity Zones" — a real Matthew 25 project. These are poor communities where investors build very expensive high-rise apartments and office complexes and as an incentive, receive a big tax break from the government or do not have to pay capitol gains taxes turning millionaires into multi-millionaires. These investments offer hundreds of new jobs and small business opportunities such as restaurants, barber shops, beauty salons, delis, etc., thus financially stabilizing poor families and contributing to a prosperous middle class, lifting all out of poverty. In addition to this, Trump signed the First Step Act giving thousands of prisoners a second chance.

Considering a talent was worth about 27,000 USD in our day and in Matthew 25:20, 28, the lead servant finally received 11 talents making as much as 300,000; and how the unprofitable servant who neglected his responsibility was cast into the outer darkness indicates very clearly that God sides with the capitalist free enterprise system. It makes all, who want to be, prosperous. That does not mean we don’t have responsibility to care for the destitute in our society — the criminal forgotten behind bars, the starving widow and orphan, the thirsty, the hungry, the stranger, the naked and the sick. They are the helpless among us and can’t be left forgotten. That is why we have deductions for charities, churches and other non-profit organizations. This providing a safety net for the destitute. But it does mean that all can be lifted out of poverty by those freely giving in love and by the prosperous among us who are investing in opportunity for those standing idle, stagnating in our society who are forced into crime, drugs, prostitution or other anti-social behaviors.

Whether you invest in the prosperity for the poor or visit the sick and lonely when it is done "unto the least of these my brothers" it is done unto Christ himself — the creator of all humanity. VINCIT OMNIA VERITAS — The truth conquers everything.
